Responsible for speciality psychiatric medical treatment and services to underprivileged and underserved communities; attending psychiatrist to patients on the general adult unit and intensive treatment unit; "on call" rotations; responsible for court commitment appearances; and dutes include any other psychiatric services. The Staff Psychiatrist is responsible for compliance with Staff Bylaws, Division of Psychiatry protocols, third party payors, JCAHO and other regulatory requirements and for the completion of all required documentation.
Minimum requirements: MD and four-year residence in psychiatry, together with an unrestricted R.I. medical license. Experience must include psychiatric treatment of patients in chronic and emergency units.
Experience with Dual Diagnosis required.
